James Abela has been working in IT since 1998,
firstly in the industry and now as a head of ICT (Primary) in Bangkok Patana
School. I have taught both Secondary and Primary Computing and supported my
colleagues in a wide range of subjects. I head up Computing At School South
East Asia, am a fellow of Mirandanet, an Apple Distinguished Educator,
Google Certified Teacher and the 21st Century Teacher of the year
2014.

Discovery Session
MIT have literally given away a multi-million pound development tool for free. It's got a huge library of projects made by children and adults. It's available in most languages including Thai and Chinese. Best of all Harvard have made a library for teaching resources to help you with lesson plans. Find out what you can use it for in your lessons!

Delving deeper in this session, we will consider and learn more about:
How to find great resources and lesson plans, create studios (like playlists), encourage students to make their own projects and even begin your own coding journeys.
Challenges
BRONZE LEVEL How to make a studio to compile all those great resources you have found
SILVER LEVEL You will learn how to remix some simple projects
GOLD LEVEL You will make a project from Scratch
TAKEAWAY PROJECT OPTION
Every participant takes away a Studio crammed full of Scratch goodies to use in your classroom and our star participants can show-off their prize worthy creations!
