This session will introduce the concept of Digital Citizenship and briefly explain why the integration of the 9 Elements of Digital Citizenship is important to your school's curriculum One of the sub-topics of Digital Citizenship is establishing a positive online identity or "Digital Footprint". Examples of different lessons will be presented along with digital artifacts from students’ project work. |

Technology access in the 21st Century has created an increasing demand to prepare our students to use technology safely, legally, and ethically in our school systems as well as socially. I will briefly cover the Nine Elements of Digital Citizenship and explain how we involve students, parents and teachers in a "Digital Citizenship Month" at our school.
